LAKE WORTH, Fla. (UCFKnights.com) — The Knights maintained their lead at the FAU Slomin Autism Invite after Saturday’s second round, led by sophomore Ryan Stovash.

Stovash fired a 4-under 67 Saturday to move atop the individual leaderboard. Stovash holds a one-stroke edge over FAU’s Derron Peyton. For the tournament, Stovash is 7-under par.

Fellow sophomore Federico Zucchetti is also in the individual Top 10 after two rounds. Zucchetti sits at 2-over for the tournament and is tied for ninth.

Linus Vaisanen tallied a second round 75 (+4) and is tied for 15th place at 3-over for the tournament. Manuel Elvirawas also 4-over Saturday. He’s tied for 38th. Jose Joia is tied for 51st place after carding a 76 (+5) Saturday.

The Knights will look to wrap up their first victory of the season when Sunday’s third round begins. UCF holds an 11-stroke lead over five teams in a logjam for second place.
